"Spider-man: Homecoming" Release

On June 28, 2017, "Spider-man: Homecoming" directed by Jon Watts starring Tom Holland, Michael Keaton and Robert Downey Jr. premieres in Los Angeles.

The title of the movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming, has a secret hidden meaning. Obviously, the most overt meaning of the title is that it takes place in the high school year where Peter Parker has his homecoming dance. But it's also a reference to the fact that Spider-Man has returned ‘home’ back to Marvel after five movies by Sony.

This is the 4th highest grossing Spider-Man movie to date, domestically and 2nd highest grossing worldwide behind Spider-Man 3 (2007).

Most people would think that this is the sixth Spider-Man film, with the first Spider-Man film in 2002. Well, the very first Spider-Man film was released in 1977, and Two more films were released in overseas cinemas.
