Elon Musk turns 50 today

He is one of the brilliant minds and an inspiration to many, who helped reshape the global economy following the tech boom of the late 1990s.


He is the founder, CEO, and Chief Engineer at SpaceX and an early stage investor, CEO, and Product Architect of Tesla, Inc. He is also the founder of The Boring Company and co-founder of Neuralink & OpenAI.

His current net worth is around $156.9 billion making him one of the richest people in the world.

1. Musk was born in South Africa and only moved to Canada at the age of 17. He now holds citizenship if South Africa, Canada and United States of America.

2. Musk created a video game called "Blaster" at age 12 and sold it for $500.

3. He dropped out of Stanford in two days and became the founder of Zip2 Corporation.

4. Till date he has founded eight companies - Zip2, PayPal, SpaceX, Tesla, Hyperloop, OpenAI, Neuralink, and The Boring Company.

5. His annual salary from Tesla is just $1. Most of his wealth comes from his share in stocks.
